The Nike Kyrie 1 Double Nickel draws inspiration from the 55 point game that Kyrie had against the Portland Trailblazers last season.
The Nike Kyrie 1 Double Nickel is said to draw inspiration from the game in which Kyrie Irvine dropped a double nickel (also known as 55 points) against the Portland Trailblazer last season. The shoe will come with a white mesh upper with red accents found on the Nike Swoosh and Kyrie signature inside the tongue. The show will also come with a leather tongue that actually has a silver coin design with Kyrie’s face as well as a “55” on it. The heels of the shoe also have a “5” in each heel, together they represent the 55 points that Kyrie dropped.

Author’s Take
This has got to be my favorite colorway of the Kyrie 1 so far. Everything from the all-white upper to the red Swoosh to the small details like the coin on the tongue were executed to perfection. Honoring his 55 point performance was also a great idea by Nike.
